Au Revoir Crested Butte, Bonjour Courchevel

Book boxes, capilene piles, mounds of helmets and boots, totem pole stacks of gear now rest organized..........sorted in duffels and ski bags, or discarded to the understory of our Crested Butte duplex. After weeks of honing our "parlez-vous francais?", chasing passports and work visas, selling old volkswagens, scripting school applications for the summer of our return, it's time to load the rental cruiser and head for DIA. Reality has hit...........we're moving to France for the winter.

Mike heads October 24th............first to Courchevel to get settled, then on to Provence for French immersion, Mediterrean sun, and limestone cragging. After 3 weeks in the Mediterrean, Mike returns to Courchevel honed in French and toned from "pulling down" with the other euro sport climbers. In the meantime, I relunctantly finish up an EMT recert, work obligations, and a school pre-req before rejoining my sweetie in the French Alps. Although we have plans of skiing, climbing, and travel, it's hard to imagine all that we will experience. We have a guest room in the fondly (yet apparently aptly) named "Cave Americain", and all are welcome to visit. Bon Voyage!
